Jolga

Early 2006, after 15 years of concerts as a singer of Shaggy Dog Story, Sébastien « JOLGA » Martel decided to launch his own career.
He took the decision after a long period of reflexion with the desire to create more personal and intimate songs. With his own small microphone on his  personal computer the introspection started to reveal many free and spontaneaous songs. The aim was clear and simple : To forget the tentation of seduction and favour sincerity.  An inside trip to go to the heart of things taking care of writing moments. Only emotion counts..
The project came to another step in 2007 with the arrival of Vincent Martel (drums) and Sébastien Berthet (double bass ) who decided to join Jolga. With time and experience the artist improved the sound and put the finishing touch to his  songs
The first part of BABX reflects this first step. Then Rémy Varrot (guitarist)  came to complete the research of firm artistic identity. The concerts will then slowly feed the set of songs.
In 2008 Jolga decides to evaluate their level. The 4 musicians decide to work for 3 days in a sound studio and recorded a “live” concert. This 3-day human alchimy  drove to an opus demo called “Sur le Fil”.
Then Jolga decided to collaborate with Dessous de Scene for the production and with Salamah Production for the programmation, the production and the evolution of artist’s career.
Coming plans : A 2009-tear full of concerts and work to prepare the launch of a new album (intended to be nationally distributed in 2010).
